here goes

i had a old pc tower with windows xp x64-bit installed and i never had a problem,

but i have exchanged cases to one of them with the perspex side pannels,,all is well.

i have had to take of the x64-bit windows and now im on windows lastxp 17 sp2

but all of a sudden since i have exchanged cases are re-installed a different windows my pc keeps cutting out:huh:

i have a 400watt psu and i have a feeling its not powerfull enough to run this extra neon blue fan

i have put a mini fan on the motherboards heatsink which is located at the side of the main cpu could this be the reason why???

im not sure if it is due to the airflow as i have 1,fan on cpu,1fan on mini heatsink and a nother fan on the side of the case blowing at the motherboard

but here is my pc spec if it helps

foxconn winfast motherboard (onboard gforce 6100 gfx)

AMD sempron 2800+ socket 754

1gb 400htz pc 3200 ram

400watt psu

pioneer dvr-109

x2 60gb hdd drives

can onyone help me please

ps,when i go to play any game it also cutts the pc out:huh:

there is one thing that kinda screaming at me here, The CPU may be lacking Thermal Paste and or better ventilation. It could also be the Fan you have placed on the Chipset/onboard VGA card, It maybe causing vibrations so it's kinda lifting off the heatink.

The PSU is a quality branded one and 400wtts is ample for your PC as it's an all in one wonder board.

I doubt its a temp thing,my guess at the moment is a driver.

How often does it cut out?Is it any one thing that seems to cause it?

Try leaving it in bios for a while,if it dosnt cut out in bios its quite likley to be a driver issue.

If it does cut out in bios then you will know its hardware or temp.but my gut feeling is it wont.
