wbua Posted February 29, 2008 Posted February 29, 2008 I would be a little worried because root canal work isnt usually undertaken until any infection has cleared up
scotty07 Posted March 2, 2008 Author Posted March 2, 2008 the swelling nearly gone but ive got a area wots hard and i still cant open my mouth much ive looked it up and looks like ive got a Abscess which is great. has anybody had one of these and had it drainaged
bagger Posted March 2, 2008 Posted March 2, 2008 I'd have thought the antibiotics would've got rid of any infection. Other than going back to your dentist's, or even your GP, tomorrow I can't be any more help than that, sorry.
Moonbird Posted March 3, 2008 Posted March 3, 2008 Yes I have got 2 abscesses the antibiotics will help and clear that up for you within a week the pain should be going very soon. I had the abscess drained that was under my tooth (now removed) and all they do is drill it a bit to let the puss out and put a dressing in there, the antibiotics do the rest. The other abscess I have is on my gum, it fills up and empties itself, it only hurts when its filling up, so pain from that lasts maybe a couple of hours a day if that. I am on antibiotics too.... I have a very sore mouth
