Halibut   12 #13 Posted March 3, 2008 Whatever happened to the old 'Just say no' advice. It was good advice and a simple message to understand.  My bold. It was, as Sheffieldism has already pointed out, completely useless advice and demonstrably an abject failure.  Do try and keep up Sid. libuse   10 #14 Posted March 3, 2008 Thanks everyone the info was great, im just in process of getting in touch with SHED now. Do reformed addicts work with SHED or is just a team of trained staff? Iam actually after fully reformed addicts, and heroin addicts in particular. The project is for a short educational film for south yorkshire police, hopefully to be used as a tool in schools and other educational purposes. Thanks again  I can't speak for SHED specifically, but its fairly common in substance misuse services for some of the professionals working there to be ex-users themselves who have gone on to gain qualifications and become drugs advisors/support workers/counsellors etc. "trained staff" and "reformed addict" aren't mutually exclusive.  Good luck with your project! chem1st   10 #15 Posted March 3, 2008 Kids today would probably just go and ask the "reformed addict" for a list of his/hers dealers that they used to get their gear from. Refer a friend discount too, probably.  Hehehe, or get him back on the gear.
 Share this content via...
