Building and Decorating estimates needed.

Firstly I know it is very difficult to give prices without seeing the property, but I'm really only looking for ballpark figures to see if it is worth buying a house we have been looking at.

It is a 3 bedroom semi-detached in the Gleadless area

I'm looking for rough prices for a complete redec, the downstairs hall and upstairs hall being re-plastered and a new roof putting on the garage, one that is sealed so the garage can be converted to another room.

If any one can just give me a rough idea it would be appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, For the upstairs and downstairs Hallway re-plastered you are looking at in the region of £300 MARK.

I have a painter for a full paint of a 3 bedroom house estimate at around £850

Was thinking about steaming it off, as suggested on another thread.

Thanks Lee, will go have another look at the house and be in touch.

if you like the house, book another veiwing so your prefered builder/tradesman can attend with you to see the work needed and give you a 'proper' price.

you should be able to use this in your negotiations on the price.

i'd be happy to do this but be wary of estimates as they are non binding and subject to massive changes.

good luck!

Can you price the roof, plastering and the decorating?
