History man Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 My friend had an accident a year ago and is now in a wheelchair as a result. He is also quite shaky with his hands but can manage to do a lot with them. He has lost his speech but can communicate through a rango of different mediums. I'm trying to think of something fun and different to be able to do with him one day over easter, he gets so bored with nothing to do. Any suggestions? We regularly go to the cinema but I would like it to be something more interactive and stimulating. Thanks for any suggestions.
duckweed Posted February 27, 2008 Posted February 27, 2008 Can he swim? What sort of things can he do physically. How about a coach trip to Cadbury's World? What sort of age is he? Snow world in Xscape possibly (go toboganning) or maybe fishing. How about a digital camera he can use ( you can get a tripod that fixes to wheelchair arm) and take photos. I like the Deep in Hull (very wheelchair accessible). Go greyhound racing? It all depends on what sort of things he likes.
