Recently went to a wedding that had a ceilidh band (Beggars Belief who are from Sheffield I think). Really good fun, nothing like traditional Scottish that you'd normally imagine. Would highly recommend.

Does anyone know of a company that does casino hire and disco hire? I've been told it's alot cheaper if you get them from the same supplier but i'm having some difficulty finding anyone that does both! x

does anyone know of any reasonably priced Sheffield based bands who could be described as jazz(ish) and do weddings. Looking for an acoustic band for the garden party section of our wedding (pre wedding breakfast).

What sort of group do you have in mind? Karen Lake and the Swing Shots do Jazz and Swing stuff. At full force, they're an 8-piece band but they also go out as a 4-piece (vocals, piano, double bass and drums) for quieter settings. Karen is one of the best Jazz singers in Sheffield, in my opinion.

We also had a chocolate fountain at night time and we can't praise them enough. They came and set up the fountain...and it broke! Within 45 minutes, they had another fountain set up and ready to go.

Hi All,

 

We are looking for a Motown Tribute or Diana Ross/Supremes type tribute (preferably locally based) to perform a 45 min set for our annual charity ball we are hosting in Sheffield on Friday 19th October 2012. The artist/artistes wont need to supply a PA as we will have a PA system set up for the night.

 

Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
