jamie36 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Can anyone help me with my laptop!! I cannot access the internet. Initially I thought there was a problem with the wireless router, but I cannot use the internet even after replacing the router. I have not been able to play a CD-ROM on it for quite sometime now. Is there anything that I can do at home or do I need to take it for repair. Thanks
DIVA Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Jamie try putting this on the techie section of the forum, as a mere mortal, I can't help, sorry.
Sizza Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 These kind of problems are usually best sorted by someone actually seeing the thing in front of them - a lot of problems can be pretty vague to sort out without actually having the machine to look at
cal3549 Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Hiya - Not sure what area you live in, but we've taken our laptop into SCS (on Taplin Rd in Hillsborough) twice for differing problems, and they sorted the 1st problem for a fiver(!) - plus the £15 diagnostic fee, and the second time for about £20. Very reasonable and professional...
Spirit_Wolf Posted February 24, 2008 Posted February 24, 2008 Just double checking somethings, With your laptop can you see other wireless networks in the area? Also with the CD rom have you tried orginal and copied disc's? As the cd player show sights its about to fail if it reads orginal but not copied disc's
