Shiesh   13 #241 Posted April 23, 2008 Went to see The Human League at the new Carling Academy on Sunday. Firstly the band were absolutely superb as usual, and the venue, well i can only say what a new lease of life it will bring to both the old Roxy and that part of town. Anyone who spent time in the old Roxy will feel a wave of nostalgia as they go in. The layout is exactly the same but had a fine renovation and should be there for years to come. Many a good night have been had in Roxy and there should be more to come. Roxy in spirit lives on !!!  Yes, I enjoyed the night too!! Thank goodness there were some seats so I could enjoy the night despite my bad back!!  I would love to go again once I am loads better and get nearer the front of the stage!  However, I am disappointed with the 'Management' I emailed 2 people via the website before the gig to check on the seating situation and neither have bothered to reply! Suave   10 #242 Posted April 27, 2008 I was driving past this place last night and was suprised to see it was closed - how come? It was busy in town last night so why would a main club such as this be shut?
 Share this content via...
