Dark Moomin Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Hi all, We were thinking of going to visit Whirlow Hall Farm at the weekend, and judging from the website they don't seem to have a coffee shop or similar on site. Does anyone know of a decent cafe type place nearby we could go to, you know the sort of place with proper home made cake, to round the day off? Or failing that a good coffee shop type place we could just go to anyway (if its bad weather we won't be going to the farm anyway!) Thanks guys!
DUFFEMS Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Up the top of Ringinglow Road there is an alpaca farm which (I believe) has a cafe though I haven't been. It's just around the corner from the Norfolk Arms on Ringinglow Road, incidentally, the Norfolk Arms is also nice after the refit.
warriormonk Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 The cafe in Millhouses Park, reasonably nearby, serves the required coffee and large array of homemade cakes
samstar999 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 The Millhouses caff has magnificent cakes!
Dark Moomin Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 Millhouses cafe does look like a plan. Is it open allday on a Sunday do you know?
samstar999 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 Better still - go for your scrumptious brekkie - go wherever you're going, then come back for coffee and cakes. Or - miss out the middle bit!
Dark Moomin Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 LOL! unfortunately I have to work in the morning or that would so be a plan! In fact I have suggested to the OH that we move close to Millhouses park so I can go there more easily, its a bit of a trek for a regular thing for us. But its run by The Pudding Ladies - there couldn't be a more perfect cafe for me!
