siouxie Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 we need to get together and get smoking back inside pubs there are enough of us
joquin Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 I'm up for it. I can't believe that we took it laying down!!
siouxie Posted February 21, 2008 Author Posted February 21, 2008 there are so many of us who smoke why dont we collectively do something can you find more who would be willing to beat the ban or try something positive instead of us all hanging out in the cole with our fags

happyhippy Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 And there are many, many more who don't.

Problem solved !
Fareast Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 Yes, Siouxie 's suggestion [ try saying THAT with your teeth out ! ] is a good one. There ought to be at least a ' Smoker's Pride Parade '. We could all get dressed as Sherlock Holmes or Humphrey Bogart, or Marlene Dietrich or Ingemar Bergman and go whizzing down Fargate on floats sponsored by Marlboro or Park Drive. We could hand badges out with a smiley face, beaming, and the words, ' Proud to be a Puffer ' on them. We could organise ' Sit Ins & Smoke-ups ' at Council meetings or in expensive restaurants. We could have elderly chain-smokers touring schools telling the kids what a wonderful, relaxing life they could have if they smoked. We could sit in front of buses and trains until they gave us smoking areas. We could organise mass outings to Belgium to buy all our necessities there...........there must be much more people can think of ? As Marx put it, ' Smokers of the world unite. You have nothing to lose except paying a whacking big tax on every packet '.
Paulmat Posted February 21, 2008 Posted February 21, 2008 we need to get together and get smoking back inside pubs there are enough of us Or you could just.... .... not bother.
