kieran_grund Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 I have masses upon masses of mp3 files on my computer, then time has come to put it all on to disk. But when i come to burn a Audio CD, it is transfering the file as a mp3 file and not an audio file. And the the cd player can-not read the cd-r. How do i convert mp3 files to normal audio files?
willman Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 burn using media player and not as a data file should do it.
terminator Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Nero goto make audio cd select files and just burn
orbrey Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Assuming you're using Nero, you need to burn the disc as an audio CD, not as a data disc. That way it will convert the files back to audio data as you drag and drop them into Nero. Other burning applications should work in a similar way. Hope that helps, EDIT: oops, too late

If you convert them to audio cd wont you only get about 20 tracks on one cd? if you want to back them up you will need to as mp3 to get plenty on a disc/dvd
the_mandarin Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 You might be better off getting yourself a MP3 player (A CD player that can play MP3s as well as audio CDs) which costs less than 15 quid. If you burn them all as audio CDs, you will end up spending much more on blank CDs. Plus, storing as MP3 is much more convenient.
jfish1936 Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 I bought a CD full of MP3 files (20 Goon Shows) -- I burnt them to Audio CD with Nero so that my car player could handle them.
kieran_grund Posted February 22, 2008 Author Posted February 22, 2008 My Cdj's can't play mp3 files that why i had to convert them.
