discodown Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I only ask because we were discussing at work today about the companies decision to refer to the christmas period as 'year end' in case it upset non christians. The odd thing is every non christian I know at work (muslim's, hindu's, sikh's) didn't have a problem with it being called christmas and indeed were sending christmas cards etc. So seeing as the news tells us there are terrorists and extremists everywhere has anyone ever met an extremist?
mikey10 Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 they dont make it public but are all over the place. be silly to wouldn't it. we're the enemy.
discodown Posted February 19, 2008 Author Posted February 19, 2008 I realise thay don't wear their i'm an extremist t-shirt but surely you'd have an inkling that someone was particularly strong in their devotion
The Rat Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Yeah.. I met one on a thread earlier that wouldn't stop going on about Islam even though the topic had nothing to do with it.... couldn't grasp that I really didn't care though. Thought "he must, he has to!"
mikey10 Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 its my opinion that most muslims support bin laden and the taliban.

ragtag Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I only ask because we were discussing at work today about the companies decision to refer to the christmas period as 'year end' in case it upset non christians. It's just that kind of polically correct claptrap that makes people turn to the BNP.
chem1st Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I realise thay don't wear their i'm an extremist t-shirt but surely you'd have an inkling that someone was particularly strong in their devotion i know one who does, an extreme athiest. he is quite vulgar at times, very obnoxious and rude to most people, especially religious ones. at first he seemed alright, but when he gets chatting he comes across as very boring and unfriendly. at one point i used to think everybody should become athiest but after a while i stopped thinking that, after seeing a lot of good in religion which aint there in athiest communities (they dont seem to commune much with others as it is). if I had to place a bet on someone going postal, it would be him!
The Rat Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 That's not a nice thing to say about atheists, its a bit like everyone decrying your beliefs and religion if they didn't like you.
