qwerky Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 How do i make myself appear like a mannequin texture, in photoshop?? I'm not for using different cameras, just digital manipulation only. But is there anyway to get a self portrait and make it look plastic fake??
mrmist Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Generally it's just blurring that achieves the look, but you have to apply it fairly selectively. Here's a tutorial that I think is what you are looking for, though probably not as extreme - http://www.lunacore.com/photoshop/tutorials/tut020.htm
Chris_S Posted February 22, 2008 Posted February 22, 2008 try using the smart blur filter. it's the same kind of effect that was used on Pulp's "This Is Hardcore" album sleeve
Phildemon2 Posted March 5, 2008 Posted March 5, 2008 Hi there you could try - Filter - noise - dust and scratchers then history brush to bring back parts to normal - eyes etc. Use the healing brush to remove any blemishes before applying Dust n scrat An extra plasticy look can be added with the plastic wrap - Filter - artistic then plas wrap - edit fade to suit. Hope this helps
rob-s Posted March 9, 2008 Posted March 9, 2008 here is another suggestion - sounds a bit complex but isn't really when you get the hang of it open image duplicate layer duplicate layer again (you now have 3 identical layers) on top layer set layer blend mode to "screen" - everything goes very bright but don't worry click on down arrow in layers palette and choose "merge down" you now have 2 layers but everything is still bright duplicate the top layer again, then set blend mode to "mulitply" add gaussian blur to this layer, and reduce the opacity until you get the right look
