JoeP
I agree with you, and we are entitled to our opinion arent we? or cant we have one in this day and age and i aint a "knuckle dragger" Now where did I suggest you were? I would have thought that it's clear that I'm talking about people who act on their bigotry. Get off the high horse - no one here is saying you can't have an opinion. Sara1312
I think the whole point of it was to get a messgae to those who go out every weekend and do damage to people who are gay. My brother is gay and when he told me it did nothing to change my opinion of him neither did it my parents. He told me a few months ago that he was in a bar full of gay men and women when a large number of people ran in holding baseball bats and started attacking everyone in the bar. These are the sort of people the sign is targetting. The sign is there, GET OVER IT!!!

Posters like this tend to be preaching to the converted; a series of high profile ads along the lines of 'Fred Smith thought it was acceptable to assault a man purely because he was gay. It isn't; Fred Smith is now serving 5 years in jail.' You're dealing with bigots who believe beating someone up because of their sexuality is acceptable; if they genuinely believe that then I doubt a 'clever' poster will ever get through to them. One explaining that they might be looking at serious jail time just might.

Rich
Indeed, as far as I'm concerned it don't matter whether someone's gay, straight or from Barnsley, it's what they're like AS A PERSON that counts.
