"ouch!" Strapped-up thumb and a thanks to Minor Injuries

Recommended Posts

Got back home earlier, from a trip to Minor Injuries.

I had a fall (bless my poor balance!) and landed awkwardly on my hand. My hand was in a "fist" shape, and I got my thumb tangled, folded inside my fist. There was a nasty cracking sound, and I was in a lot of pain.

the x-ray says it's not broken, I've just damaged the ligaments.

By gum, does it hurt, though!

Got to say a huge thanks to the staff there, I was in and out in just over an hour, strapped up, and on my way. Efficient! Excellent!

It's always nice to hear thanks, as people are usually more ready to complain (I don't work at the MIU, but the principle's the same!)

Does this mean you can't knit though, PT? :o:(

hi Zimily.

the walk in is for treatment of minor ailments.

the Minor Injuries is next door, a sort of "mini-casualty" where you can go with cuts, sprains, bruises, etc to be checked out.

Ouch!

Of course you realise that you can't do anything more strenuous than use the remote and eat chocolate until you make a full recovery!

Get well soon.....oh I can't resist...inappropriate smiley warning

Thumbs up for minor injuries!

Knitting is one of the best rehabilitative exercises there is for finger/thumb injuries PT along with computer consoles etc. Keeps the thumb loose and moving!

Best wishes

AGB.
