Good curry house in Sheffield?

Would anyone be able to recommend a good curry house in Sheffield - preferably in the city centre or South West Sheffield around ecclesall road?. I'm new to the city but love curry so would really like to find a good one!

Ashoka on Eccy road has won a lot of rewards and is one of the better curry houses I have been to in Sheffield or for that matter, the UK. The service is top notch. It's fairly expensive but I would rather pay a few quid extra and get top notch food and service.

I have never been but I have been told that Shapla is very nice.It's on Cumberland St.

I have always liked Sahibs on West St.

i love shapla....bottom of the moor. just been refurbished aswell. great friendly staff!

Agree, Hanifah Balti House on Abbeydale Road is an excellent one. I've heard good stuff about Cafe Masala too.

aroma down london road is good - been there twice.

 

but mind the plum chutney (it has stones) and bring your own wine if you wanna drink

The Mogul Room in Hunters Bar is the best curry place I've discovered in Sheffield. Absolutely sublime, and very pleasant.
