HotPhil
Just had a look on http://www.simplylounges.co.uk/manchester-airport-lounge.htm (first Google result) and if I were flying from Manchester tomorrow, it'd be £18. Much better than £62. Three hour maximum though!
Grissom
Lounges start at about £13 a pop : https://www.executivelounges.com/en/index.asp Annual membership £250 : https://www.executivelounges.com/en/apply.asp

HotPhil
Something like http://www.prioritypass.com might suit?
Classic Rock
Something like http://www.prioritypass.com might suit? Just looked into this. You pay an annual fee but then have to pay each time you go as well (£15). Going with one of the online suggestions above seems a better bet. I was hoping someone might have info about credit cards or bank accounts which offer access as part of the deal.
HotPhil
I thought there were two membership levels for the priority pass - with the £15 entry fee each time only being applicable on the lower of the two? I think all the credit card deals rely on booking through their recommended agent and/or paying with your CC. Americal Express and NatWest seem to do it though. Classic Rock
Now THAT's a proper answer! I'll have a look into this thanks. Just looked at executivelounges.com and my next trip would cost £37 for us both from Heathrow, which is better than £62 each!
Classic Rock
Nat West - you have to book your trip with them or you can't have the lounge access. American Express - the card which offers it has an annual fee of £300.
HotPhil
I guess it's going to depend on how frequently you fly! I'm only an occasional flier, so membership schemes don't cut it for me.
