paul28uk   10 #13 Posted February 5, 2008 I have the PS3, love it.  My brother had the XBOX360 Elite (Black one with HDMI) and the PS3 and the XBOX was sold after about a month as it just didn't match up. Especially as more quality games are coming out now. As others have said, the online gaming is great and free.  I have the Guitar Hero 3 on it and I have mates around once a week for a mix of that/Pro Evo/Fight night 3 and it gets rowdy! LOL  Wii got a bit boring after the initial wow! Although it's very playable in a group.  Just my 10 cents worth.
 Share this content via...
ASPGuru   10 #14 Posted February 5, 2008  I need a new one, but before going ahead and spending (such a stupid amount of money) on a new console, I was hoping for a little advice from some students that have some experience of the following three consoles.  Why do you only want advice from students?  Plenty of 'ordinary' people that use consoles as well. Kry10 Â Â 10 #16 Posted February 5, 2008 No wireless controllers? What are you on about? There has been wireless controllers available for 360 from day 1! Â Yes, but, they don't come with the console, you have to pay extra for them, that is what I was on about, the ps3 comes complete with very good wireless controllers. Â Pistolpolo - Yes, the PS3 has online multiplay gaming, and, the best bit, it is totally free, no subscription fees.
 Share this content via...

pistolpolo   10 #21 Posted February 6, 2008 No I don't work for reviewcentre, I just found the site very helpful and was simply implying if anyone else needs help maybe the link I posted would help you like it did with me... I am buying a Wii this weekend, however I have heard stories it's hard to get two controllers, I was hoping to get quite a few considering I want a few friends to be involved. Anyone know, where I can buy controllers or where the cheapest place is to buy the Wii?  Thanks again for any help and Im sorry if I upset anyone with my links... satsuma   10 #23 Posted February 6, 2008  Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and the PS3.   For social gaming, particularly with people who are not regular gamers, I'd recommend the Wii every time. It's the cheapest, the wii controllers are the easiest to get the hang of and it's got the best multi player pick up and play games.  One game I'd recommend, regardless of which system you buy, is Guitar Hero. Excellent fun at parties and post pub gatherings.
 Share this content via...
John   11 #24 Posted February 6, 2008 Yes, but, they don't come with the console.  The wireless controller come with the console as standard on all versions of XBOX and have been for quite a while.
 Share this content via...
