Remember Me? To the Irresponsible Breeder

Recommended Posts

So so sad - but so terribly real

We would put it on the site if we can - do you know if copyrighted?

You only need to visit places like Battersea these days - over half of them are pedigrees which someone has obviously purposely bred -and then someone has bought - only to throw away like this poor boy.

Most don't care where they end up - as long as they aren't their worry any more, and no you are right Lotti - i doubt if any of the scumbag type breeders like this is would even think it was meant at them - they don't even realise the suffering they are causing by their abuse.

Good breeders feel the hurt just like we all do.

i too pray for some miracle legislation to come into place to help the poor things out.

Very powerful poem :cry::shakes:

Moonbird: I STILL worry about our pups, and they are 2and a half years old now. they never leave, they just become extended family :)

could I possibly add this poem to my website Lotti?

I cross posted it from another forum guys so have no idea whether it's copyrighted or not...

However - I found this website: http://www.dogsos.co.uk/ to the Doris Banham Dog Rescue started by Doris' daughter, Trudie James and there is another heart wrenching poem on there so I'm guessing it was the same Trudie James that wrote this one. You could always get in touch with her to ask her permission?

If you found the above poem touching please don't read the one on that website! (although the message is a good one)

I don't think I've read anything so poignant in a long time and it really applies to all animals. If only people would sit up and listen. :(

Such a sad , sad poem , i'm sitting here crying !

i've never had any experience of people breeding dogs just for money . The breeder we got our Cadbury from was fantastic , we saw Cadburys mum , dad, and nannan and although Cadbury is now 10 months old Mark still emails us to check how he's doing and we send photos all the time to show him . He's always said if we need any advice to call him , he is really fantastic .

It breaks my heart to think of pups ( and their mums) being born into this world to be abused and mistreated just because someone wants to make a quick few hundred pounds .

Sickening

I haven't posted on here for a LONG time, mainly due to a lot of nagativity around the place, although I still loiter and read things, but this really got me compelled to write.

I am sitting in the university library and shivers ran down my spine, thankfully I managed to keep the tears held back.

This is so powerful, thanks Lotti for posting it.

I'd also like to point out the damage this can do to the mother. I have a rescue dog who was bred from at a very early age. She's a mut, nothing special, so certianly not breeding for crufts here. She an emotional wreck. She doesn't undertand how to socialise with other dogs properly becuase her only experiences of them are being bred young and having her pups ripped away from her. She mothers our guinea pigs and cleans them as if they were her own. I only dread to think what would have happened when she was too old to breed.
