That is certain & I know that photographs were taken. What I don't know. Is the 1st & 2nd photo the Eagle Stone. The White marking is the definite clue. cgksheff   44 #20 Posted January 28, 2008 The trig point pillar is very like that at Mam Tor (nearly all the others in the area are cast concrete), but I had been telling myself that it couldn't be because of the smooth surrounds in Albert's photo.  However, I now realise that the cobbles that pave the tumulus today were put there by the 'trust' to minimise erosion.
