The Window of Life

Recommended Posts

Excellent Shoeshine, as it is the last verse I don’t think a Demotivator is necessary, but there is plenty of room for more, I’ll keep coming back with an input from time to time.

Thinking about it, if we all pull our finger out, we may give Samuel T Coleridge a run for his money.

“Delusions of Grandeur”

Poetry is one thing I have never been able to write.

That is just what I replied to a post many months ago, then Manterspook had a go at me, saying…. “Rubbish! I bet you could. These sort of limerick type poems almost write themselves once you think of two words that rhyme”

He was right of course (God! I hate smart arses) now I can’t leave it alone.

Have a go MW you may be surprised, anyway it’s all good practice.

You’ll be surprised just how many closet poets there are out there.

Here's another couple...

Elusive thoughts that fill our mind

Meanings of which we are yet to find

Adolescents can be so unkind

Elucidation of life

Words of wisdom from all directions

Hard to find the right connections

Too much advice too many questions

Eclecticism of knowledge

Well done, Coyleys, it's coming together quite nicely isn't it? Looks like we could do with some verses on adult working life, and possibly retirement, but I'm lacking any inspiration at the moment...

Possible working adult life verse?

Sitting here as years fly by,

Monday to friday, nine to five.

Bills to pay and axe to grind.

A lesson in reality.

Why thanks SK, that's really good of you to offer.

Unfortunately; I’m stuck at the moment, especially as Sheppo has just summed up my entire working life in one verse, and as for retirement, if I get there, I’ll have plenty to write about “Wine, Women, Songs, Gout, hernia, Piles, writers elbow, I may even write a little romantic verse about my in growing cloisters. :D

but circles coil and life grows weary

and each new vision sends eyes teary

tomorrows trend is always dreary

time to say goodnight.

I love this and how everyone can participate... heres a couple

But with passing ages, life's simplicity has gone

Technological superiority lives, click click switch it on

Addicted fingertips tapping from dusk until dawn

Life's rule is swift information

From HD to Blue Ray must have larger screens

Compatable to wirless so all must be seen

Complete access to all areas are the must means

I long for the pen and paper
