we had just one rumble and flash in ecclesfield about an hour ago!

Driving up to Sheffield earlier, on the M1, between J26 and 27, there was a horrendous snow/hailstorm which actually turned the road surface white in seconds!

I heard it quite clearly in Hillsborough!

i didn't hear anything yet our daughter came downstairs this evening saying she wouldn't be able to sleep due to the thunder and lightening:confused: that was about 8:30pm but we didn't hear anything bar the howling wind and rain!

 

the tv usually drowns out loads though!

It was certainly loud.....

 

I half wondered whether it was an explosion, and whether it was time to 'duck and cover'!

 

It was a pretty miserable start to the New Year weather wise, though. Hope it gets better!

I saw and heard it in Killamarsh. But the wife didn't. maybe only idiots could see it.
