Why do people create posts asking for shop opening times etc.

Why do people create posts such as 'What time is argos open until tonight' or 'what time is the last tram' ?

 

Surely going to Argos.co.uk or supertram.com (in the above examples) would be quicker than:-

 

1) Setting up a post

2) Waiting for the reply (usually a link to the appropriate website)

 

I always feel like replying with 'What does their website say'

It just amazes me why someone would post on here rather than looking directly at a company/shop's website that would give them an instant reply.

Sometimes it's quicker asking on here than negtiating a shops own wensite, sometimes it's not.

I love this time of year for people panicking about what time or day a shop opens. We live in a capitalist society and most shops (especially the large chains) are open 364 days a year, 365 on a leap year.
