m^rk   11 #37 Posted December 27, 2007 We went to the Lakeside Village shopping outlet near DOncaster which was a bit pants, so went to Meadowhall. The OH got 3 DVD's from WH Smiths. Spiderman 3 and Casino Royale were nice and cheap, and paid normal price for POC 3. Decided it was too busy so left, and I got a few bargains in the Boots sale on Chesterfield Road.  Got-  Soap & Glory 'Men Never Glisten Set', should have been £20, 17 Bronzer Set, should have been £8 Soothing Candle, should have been £5 Radox Set in a bag, should have been £10.99.  Got all for under £19, as all 1/2 price and with staff discount. Not bad!  Going to Boots and Argos at Drakehouse tomorrow, see if anything else worth buying!    I am never going back to Meadowhall when it's as busy as that it was Horrendous i went to look for a few PC and playstation 2 games and people were Queing out of the door in both the Game stores in Meadowhall. rad   10 #40 Posted December 28, 2007 Boots had some good deals on perfume gift sets. Haven't braved anywhere else really, other than half-price foundation and concealer from the Body Shop, which I get every year in the sales as every year they change the packaging so reduce the old lot. BasilRathbon   10 #41 Posted December 28, 2007 I'm confused; my local shoe shop has a big sign saying "50% off", but does that mean everything's half price or are they full price but you only get one shoe?
 Share this content via...
purdyamos   10 #42 Posted December 28, 2007 I'm confused; my local shoe shop has a big sign saying "50% off", but does that mean everything's half price or are they full price but you only get one shoe?  Going by all the shoe sales I've visited, it means I take a size 6 but the only decent shoes left are size 3. nuttygirl   10 #43 Posted December 28, 2007 I went to my local Tesco's last night - healthy ready meals suitable for freezing - were about £1.50-£2.50 - all for between 20p and 50p!!! Stocked up!  Also the La Senza sale is amazing - quality underwear for £5 a bra!!! And when you're a 36E who normally can only get her size in M&S or BHS, La Senza rules! They've even got £30-40 basques down to £12-15!!!! I've already spent about £130, and plan to try it on out of the changing room and take back what I don't want. I can't be bothered waiting to try things on in changing rooms with a billion other women glaring at you for daring to take up a room.
