Should London Road Become Sheffields China Town.

Seems a bit of a shame that they plan to knock down existing buildings and relocate existing businesses.

 

Aren't those buildings a couple of warehouses and wholesalers for Chinese supermarkets??

So if it fills the area described, it's the chinese supermarket, some warehouses, the recruitment building (ant recruiting?) and the Chris Denton car sales yard.

It's got to be an improvement because as it stands there's nothing of any merit on that plot of land.

The Silversmith firm has been there a long time and is a family run business . Would they really be knocking Ant marketing down, it's a fairly new building . I hope they have factored in parking as it's a nightmare in that area as it is.

Let's hope they have a decent private security firm to protect the residents because it's muggers paradise around that area of London Road.

I worked across the road and went through there twice a day for a year. Strangely I was never mugged, nor was anyone else I knew in the office...

 

It's right next to the Hallam uni accommodation. Not that this proposal is for residences...

Good to see any development of run down areas, but to suggest its sheffields China Town is a bit far fetched...its a standard residential development with the usual commercial element that may or may not be let to Chinese companies. Good branding though to sell it to the powers that be

At least the Chinese will look after the area , unlike SCC looking after Sheffield as a whole .
