.net framework (3.5) trouble installing

I can find lots of people with same problem - but no solution:rant:

 

Get the following error:

 

[12/19/07,11:08:53] Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a: [2] Error: Installation failed for component Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a. MSI returned error code 1603

[12/19/07,11:11:01] WapUI: [2] DepCheck indicates Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0a is not installed.

 

Any ideas?

do you have framework 2.0 installed...?

 

also, which 3.5 installer are you using? the "online" one... or a re-distributable package one?

I have .net v1.1, v2 and v3 installed. Just managed to get it to install by removing v3, but what a bloody pfaff!

 

I was using installing on-line version, but then downloaded full package.
