Council rent - do you still get "free" weeks over Christmas?

i wish northern counties were as generous as the council.

Don't worry.

As long as banks have paid more than 2% interest, your £2 per week has been earning more in your bank account than they save from their 2 weeks off.

I'm with you coop, no offence to people in council houses(as mine is ex) but its the feeling of pride to own, well to me anyway

Bingo - in 16 years I will own every brick! Can renters say the same?

BTW when I said council house I meant any rented property.

 yes for my lovely holiday home in spain, where they tend not to nab it back at the drop of a hat like ours in the uk:thumbsup:

Think I'll get myself a free council house for those two weeks then I can ring council up on Christmas day and complain they haven't come round immediately and renovated my house for nowt.

AM note

The 'free' weeks are week commencing 22nd, and 29th December.

Question answered, no more wind ups, closing.

I'm guessing they will be w/c 21/12 and 28/12? Give them a call 2930000, I think?
