There are no 'free' weeks, really.

If I recall correctly, the annual rent is collected in 48 (not 52) weekly instalments.

So the weeks when there is no actual collection are covered by the weeks when when there is.

Does anyone know if you still get two rent free weeks if you are a tenant with Sheffield City Council?

My other half says that yes you do as long as you're not in arrears....it should tell you on your last rent statement.

She works within the council.

As previously posted, "rent-free" weeks is a misnomer.

Better would be to say "no payment required (if you're up-to-date with payments)" weeks.
