Shopmobility are struggling for funding. (as are many charities) and are asking the council to give proper funding.

it's feared that the charity may fold, if there is not sufficient money. this would be a tragedy.

I've found the petition on here and signed it and asked all family and friends to sign to as it would be a shame for it to close - good luck

Sadly it has closed: https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/disabled-shoppers-in-sheffield-hit-by-sudden-closure-of-mobility-scooter-charity-1-9479756

I did a lot of work experience there and gained additional qualifications. It's a shame they lost funding from the council to Clark and Partners. The little ones lose out again...

Another victim of the Tories austerity funding. Councils no longer have the money to keep these essential services running, but then as disabled and wheelchair users are 'only' a minority group, they will have to carry the burden once again.

As a group they are the most affected and abused by austerity cuts and the targeted withdrawal of help ever.
