Foxhill

I was wondering if anyone could help me.

When i was younger we lived on foxhill avenue in the masonettes. To the side of ours was a big field. Unsure of the name.

I remember that there used to be some sort of bunker in that field. Does anyone else remember this? What was it?

Please someone tell me they remember this as i'm starting to think i'm mad!

I think you will find that this mound is an underground reservoir and not an air raid shelter. It used to be fenced off but you can now climb onto it,the view from the top is very good!!

We used to make a "Tarzan Swing" on the pylon next to it when we were kids.

I worked on the masonettes when they were built.

This happened during the gales of 62????

Do you know if it's an underground Res or a Shelter? Can you shed any light on this?
