Spyro   10 #505 Posted March 31, 2009 The driving school I work for offer Intensive courses, but the vast majority of our work is people who only have one, maybe two lessons per week. If anyone rings up wanting an Intensive Course, we ALWAYS advise them of the process in respect of theory tests, waiting times etc and that it can be several weeks before they could actually sit a practical test so, why not start now and do it at a more normal pace?  I always tell my pupils what they need to know so they can make an informed decision knowing the pro's and con's, but ultimately, I won't take someone on a fully Intensive course for reasons that others have mentioned above. I don't think proper learning takes place, and when you are teaching people how to survive on the road, its got to be done effectively and thoroughly. It can't be taught "Parrot fashion".  Aye I agree with all that, however I already know how to drive, unfortunately I have to retake my test again
 Share this content via...

SheffUK Â Â 10 #509 Posted May 2, 2009 I'm in S11, starting a new job soon which requires me to bus, tram, bus again - I'll die if i have to do that every day so I'm looking for a good driving instructer for around 18-19 quid an hour. Â I'm also interested in those 'intensive' driving schools so I can learn very fast. Â Recommendations?
 Share this content via...

RealRunner   10 #515 Posted May 21, 2009 (edited) i highly reccomend an instructor called John Gott He has an excellent pass rate and is very friendly and lets you learn at your own pace with encouragement. He is based across most major areas, parsons cross, chapeltown, ecclesfield, shiregreen.. most places that you would expect.  Prices are also very flexible compared to most driving schools i.e. bill plant or the AA.  if you would like to know more check him on facebook "John Gott" or message me and i can get in contact as he tought me Edited May 21, 2009 by RealRunner
 Share this content via...
