People who don't move their dogs mess

Recommended Posts

you could also look at it from my perspective. we rent some grazing land which has a public access through it. i installed a kissing gate, at my expense and time for easy access 'cos they kept trashing the stiles.

now every day umpteen people think they have the right to exercise their dogs in my horses paddock, and not one person ever cleans it up.

theire excuse the piles of horse muck are bigger - some people just don't get it about manners and respect imho.

Your quite possibly the most ignorant person i've ever had the misfortune to come across.

Your attitude stinks as much as the subject in question.....:suspect:

You`ve never come across me, so thats a pointless post.

This is my view on the subject.

There is nothing worse than standing in dog poo. It is disgusting in everyway and I personally think it can be quite upsetting. (my friend was on his way to get married and somebody let a dog crap on his lawn which he didn't see - the results were not pleasant).

So, I do believe that people should pick up their dog mess.

However, I feel it is wrong to turn this issue from 'doing the right thing and picking up your dog mess' to 'children could become seriously ill and die if you allow your dog to mess everywhere'. Can't people see this is the sort of nanny state rubbish that is ruining our country?

I have spoken to my sister (who is a doctor who works at the Royal Hallamshire) to do a little research for me. Apparently, within the UK, more children have become seriously injured / died through being attacked by a donkies IN THE LAST YEAR than any disease associated my dog mess in the last TEN YEARS. So based on peoples reaction here, you should not let children go near donkeys because statistically they are very likely to get injured!

According to my sister, the number of cases of children becoming infected because of dog mess has not raised or fallen since this country asked people to dispose of dog mess sensibly.

I hate this society where people hide behind children to make a point. This "oh won't somebody think of the children" attitude is not healthy.

So I agree that people should pick up dog mess because quite simply, it is the right thing to do.

My sister wanted me to point out, more children are becoming ill and dying in the uk because of obesity not because of dog mess....I wonder how many posters in this topic are vastly overweight or have porky children? More than would care to admit I bet.

Couldn't have put it better myself. Maybe that the excuse parents have for not allowing their kids to go out and living in mcdonalds 24/7 for fear of going near the dreaded dog poo in the open air.

How people born 100 years back must laugh at how pathetic our society has become.:hihi:

being overweight does not affect others. being a filthy dirty pig, who leaves their dog mess in the street does affect others.

It dosn`t affect me, Yes its not nice to look at, but I simply step around said poop.... Walking round town with a fat friend does affect your social status, I find it embarrassing at times when Im with a fatty and people are gawping. So I disagree with your post.

Well, I kinda know where you are coming from but the point I was making was people on this thread were using the well being of children to support their argument (even though statistically it supports nothing).....so if they truly do have the health and safety at children at heart then there are more pressing matters that need to be addressed.

Also I don't think you comment of "being overweight does not affect others" is slightly misleading.

My sister was telling me how much specialist equipment is now being bought by hospitals just so they can cater for obese people. This money could easily be spent better elsewhere but these fatties are using up precious and limited resources. Most doctors are furious that money is being spent in such way, but the management teams are so scared that some fatty will do them under some stupid PC law that they are not willing to take the risk.

My sister also says that under 5% of clinical obese people are that way because of medical conditions, the rest are simply greedy people.

So the next time my nan is in hospital and the ward is understaffed / doesn't have the right equipment I will know that some overweight self indulgent b*stard has directly affected me.

Also, how many times have I not been able to sit on a free seat on a bus or train because the person at the other side of the seat is some humongous monster that has left very little room.

Fat people affect us everyday and we are not allowed to say anything because most hide behind some 'medical complaint excuse'.
