Whats ash??

Its better than stew. Lots of stewing steak, potatoes, parsnip, turnip, onions, leeks few herbs and stock. All cooked very slowly in the oven until tender:love:

Drop in a few dumplings and return to the oven to cook them.

Gorgeous. Mmmmmmmmmmm

Ah. Stew ;)

My favourite winter meal would have to be something gamey such as a nice pheasant or partridge casserole, or something bean-based such as cassoulet.

What we had for tea today :)

Cheesy carrot and oat bake, with potato pancakes and braised leeks in gravy - yummy.

Doesn't lasagne have tomato sauce in it... or are you talking about extra tomato sauce to dip the chips in?

Tom sauce on the side.

Don't have tom sce very often but lasagne and cottage pie have to have sce with them!

My fave winter meal is; a sunday roast (even on a week night!) Shepards pie or homemade soup and I have to say I have the best mushroom soup made for me recently that I have ever tasted! :hihi:

I am going to make sunday roast on the weekend and hope the special person I am making it for loves it!
