vero....you should have gone to see seb bach at the corporation. the place was jumping!! like ian says the arena is too big for a decent `gig atmosphere' leadmill or corporation and get yourself to the front and you will be sweating, jumping and have big ugly blokes sticking flicking your hair in you mouth.. they way it should be! :D

yeah, i usually try to get front standing then you can get best of a bad situation..but i dont fancy turning up THAT early to get there.

i recently gave up my front standing for deep purple and went and sat in some awful seats just because i was quite bored.

smaller gigs and more of them i say  we need somewhere a bit bigger than leadmill .... maybe the new city hall development will fill that gap? although they used to not even let you stand up at a iron maiden concert!!...hmmmmm

I've been to a few gigs at the arena and they always had a mosh pit when I went front standing. Especially at the two Oasis gigs and Metallica gigs i've seen there. Like I said in my earlier post I was really disapointed there was no mosh pit on saturday. The crowd were really quiet. Its nothing to do with the arena. It wasn't the bands fault either 'cos they gave a brilliant performance, the crowd were simply just too quiet on saturday for my liking i'm afraid.

So veno, looks like you caught an english crowd off form on saturday. We're not normally like that believe me!

Hi everyone!

So I guess that was bad luck.. and you know I wanted to be at the arena at 5ish, but we were very late and got there at 6:30 (french people are always late, not our fault!), and even then it was easy to get close to the stage... which surprised me a lot! In France you spend your day in front of the doors, then run like mad people towards the stage, and then push everybody who is still in front of you. I guess we really are eager and rude people then :(

Anyway I won't give up on english concerts, I really like small gigs here (and really like corporation, in France there are only rap or techno night clubs... so I gave up on french night clubs a long time ago)

I think I'll try english festivals, I've heard about the Reading/Leeds one, sounds great ! And maybe there I'll get a chance to see the english way of crowd surfing ;)
