karandak Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 When you are paying for something and the shop assistants are talking about nothing in particular while they are serving you, not looking at you etc, i think its very rude! Coming a close second is the fact that they ask you if they can help the second you've walked through the door! Havent even had time to look at anything yet eh!
Andy Posted January 9, 2005 Posted January 9, 2005 I hate the fact they insist on putting everything in a carrier bag. Even a little item has to go in a bag. Even if you already have a bag with you. All the bags get thrown away, go in a hole in the ground and stay there for ever. Can we have a bit less waste please?

It's so true; if you want help, you'll ask for it - it's just not necessary to be pestered as soon as you enter a shop. Who says you're looking for something in particular anyway? Most of the time it's only a case of browsing. Another annoying question is 'do you need any help finding your size or anything?' To which I feel like shouting back 'I do know my own size thankyou! Leave me alone and let me look around first for goodness' sake, if I can't see my size in something I like maybe then I'll ask for your help! Unitl then I don't need you following me about making me feel uncomfortable!' If only we could say that instead of 'I'm fine thankyou'!!

"Yes, you go & look round & I'll stand here & mind my own f***ing business!" Other things that irk me are: Christmas in Meadowhell; Ammericanised greeters getting in your way (Disney Shop et al) acting like they are your best mate from school when there's only 1 person on the 'till & she's had 12 minutes training to deal with queue that reaches the greeter.! When the till girl holds my note up to the light!!! I am not a criminal!!! Nowdays if I pay with a tenner & she does that, & I get a fiver in change, I do it too - try it! You'll see real shock on the till girl's face and, as for the reaction of the rest of the queue MORRISONS!! Why must you shrinkwrap every last tiny item of fruit & veg?? Haven't you heard of global warming & landfill tax? Da-ah!
ladyovmanor Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 people wo knock your kids flying because they think they have the right of way , and they are far more important then everyone else . The parent that is holding on to their childs hands, but the child is behind the parent and well hiden, when you get level with them the child suddenly emerges to headbut you in the stomach and wipes ice cream down your clothes.
NatalieSheff Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 people stood about doing nothing and there is usually one person running about like headless chicken. saturday kids can be fairly annoying and clueless, but we have all being there. the worst thing is when you see a manager ridicule a staff member on the shop floor. i see that a lot, and think it should be done privately
nick2 Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 What realy bothers me at the moment (with menswear shops) is that they all seem to sell the same stuff, you can't find anything different without paying a fortune, it's like they have all agreed what we will wear and thats all they will sell. It's ok for women they have more choice of shops.
