muddycoffee Posted December 4, 2004 Posted December 4, 2004 When I was in my mid twenties I had really long [rock] hair. This was only about 10 years ago. What really ****** me off was when I had my hair cut short. I noticed that all the older middle aged men who worked in shops, all started treating me like an equal, or even a good bloke. or a reasonable customer. This really annoyed me. And even now, when I go about with easy - to - care - for - take - no - bottles - into - the - shower - close - shaved hair, Which I consider to be much more aggresive looking, I get no problems at all. I don't know why but it still disturbs me.
Wattsy Posted December 6, 2004 Author Posted December 6, 2004 Who gets P****d off with bread crates left on the floor in Morrisons to fall over. and staff stacking shelves during the busiest time this should be done early on or in the night shift. Kids screeming and climbing up shelves or kids playing football in the supermarket while parents let them.
Couljo Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Morrisons never has any fresh bread! At the least the one at Hillsobough Barracks never does. Doesn't matter what evening I go - they're out!
Clumber Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Little old women who get to the front of the queue in a really busy shop and then wait until they are told how much it comes to before fishing round in their shopping bag for their purse, or the ones who get to the front, the assistant runs evertyhing through and then little old dear says "Oh I've just forgotten something" and suddenly shoot off to fetch it leaving evryone else stood there waiting for her to return.

I find that the shorter my hair is the more suspicious I must look, and when I shave it off completely (down to the skin) I get followed around by store detectives and asked if i "need any help" a lot more often. I must just look dodgy.

Yeah, Morrisons is terrible for this - I'm convinced that getting in the way of the customers as much as possible is seen as one of the perks of the job!

I bet they're stacking so they don't have to work on the tills and face the pressure of a hectic task with disgruntled customers. If I had a penny for everytime I'd been waiting in a massive crocodile approaching the tills and the tannoy goes for all relief staff to work on the tills, and you only get one or two coming to help if lucky. The rest are fagging it around the back. Why do old Women insist on pushing you in the back all the time when you're in a queue with their trolley. In the bank it's pretty bad too. Often the cashiers are busy finishing up what they're doing and might not be there to serve a customer, they always make eye contact or signal when they want you to approach. I had a bit of a go at an old biddy once, She was tutting loudly and telling me to go on. I told her that she was being aggressive and rude, and explained that the cashier wasn't ready. Everyone else in the queue was looking at her and she kept very quiet after that.
karl101 Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 In store radio. It started with Virgin Music Radio, then Asda Radio, now its got silly. Co-Op Radio. Its just wrong.
