Leigh Posted December 2, 2004 Author Posted December 2, 2004 i've obviously got nothing against a social drink, but as has just been said, people tend to drink until they vommit in which case the night was a 'success'....... hmm yeh bowling always crops up, but my friends and i can never seem to bring ourselves to pay £4 on a wkd when its so much cheaper on a weekday! poker's a good idea.. keep em coming, cheers.

Bago Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 You don't have to do be sick in order to class an evening as a successful one. However, those nights where one was sick on the "magic bus" in Manchester (not planned!) was the most memorable one. =) Other ideas to the ones mentioned. How about a board game night in ? Play as teams, rack up the points, then forfeit the opposition. Or play truth or dares. (I remembered how my flatmate flashed her boobs at the porter at Xmas.) Or have a book review at home. Or movie review. You can go salsa dancing at the Forum. I just went to the last one, and this was *such* a great laugh for us all girlies. Laughing at ourselves, as well as enjoying other ppl's companies. It was great that not everyone knew how to dance, which added the fun, plus they made u do this merengue dance in a hugh circle, so u get to meet other dancers. I was really bad at this. It only cost us 3 quid for the whole evening. 3 hours plus. Minus the drinks.
Leigh Posted December 2, 2004 Author Posted December 2, 2004 it's nothing to do with tightness. it just makes sense to save it for weekdays where its half the price...then u can do twice the amount.
miggy Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 the only way you'd get me salsa dancing is after far too much vodka. which kinda goes against the point I guess! not everyone drinks until they're sick. You can drink in moderation.
