tonyb-b 10 #1 Posted October 23, 2007 I am a soft southerner but would like to be proud of my northern heritage. All I know is my family were from the Birley Spa/Hackenthorpe area at the beginning of the 20th century. My great-aunt Doris Beardmore-Baldwin was born there in 1907. My grandfather Harry B-B in 1913. There were about 13 children in that generation some did not have the Beardmore hyphenated and were plain Baldwin I am led to believe. It is a mystery where the whole name came from. The father of above children was John B-B,born ??? but the mother was Clara nee Whitehouse who on the 1901 census lived in Birley Spa. By rights I should belong to a huge family and as an only child would love to contact any family.CAN ANY KIND PERSON HELP??
 Share this content via...
