Lancs_Lad   10 #39 Posted March 29, 2014 I went to the Wheel Specialist in Garforth. Four wheels, essentially rebuilt, for two hundred and twenty pounds. Not a simple a repaint but stripping, remoulding (which is what you're looking for) and re-everything. Fifteen years of road use removed. The work they do on the wheels cannot be done at your place as they have to bake the wheels to get some of stuff I don't know about on the wheel.  http://www.thewheelspecialist.co.uk/File/Leeds_details.php  I took an MX5 up to them a few years back after a recommendation and they came back like new wheels. Justin Smith   10 #45 Posted May 28, 2014 A quick google gives... http://www.metalmagicwheelrefurb.co.uk/alloywheelrefurb.html  £40 plus VAT per wheel (up to 17"), so for 4 wheels that`d be £192....... We really must be living in a wealthy country if people are happy to pay that. I wish I still had my old car with steel wheels, four decent quality wheel trims £25 ? geared   268 #46 Posted May 28, 2014 Considering the price of a replacement set of wheels £192 is a drop in the ocean.  You can get wheels done cheaper at industrial powdercoating places, but then you've gotta faf around with having tyres removed and refitted. yellowperil   10 #48 Posted May 28, 2014 Does anyone know anywhere that will reshape after bad kerbing and a flat section? I believe they have to heat it up and rework it back to shape. Thanks. Any idea of a price for the service?
 Share this content via...
