i used limestone cottage garage, they removed the tyre bead blast and re-fill and then re spray, there are a few places such as hawleys tyres who advertise as doing wheel refurbs but who actually take them to these guys.

i would avoid the ones who visit your home as they cant do a full refurb from the back of a van

Finally had mine refurbed, Hillsborough Auto's £25 a wheel (16")

Must say they did a spot on job, very pleased!!!

Can you wait with your car while they do this Owls? Thats a very good price!!!

Do you happen to know if included in the price, they fill in and repair small chips on the wheels that naturally accumulate over a time through bad driving? lol (previous owner hitting kerbs, not me, no really, It wasnt me)

You have to book in mate, they were very busy.

They had it overnight as the wheels have to dry out.

Give them a bell, see what they can do for you.

Wheel Clinic on Foley Street - its Norfolk Bridge Business Park and in the same building as Sheffield Metal Polishing. Foudn them really good, had one repaired by someone who came to my house and that was ok but didnt last whereas the last one done at Wheelclinic they full refurbed stripped it down, built back up and baked it. Havent manage to curb it again so it must be a good finish (or my parkings better!!)

Mine were £45 + vat which was similar to the at home one. It did take a few days but worth it imo.

I went to the Wheel Specialist in Garforth. Four wheels, essentially rebuilt, for two hundred and twenty pounds. Not a simple a repaint but stripping, remoulding (which is what you're looking for) and re-everything. Fifteen years of road use removed.

The work they do on the wheels cannot be done at your place as they have to bake the wheels to get some of stuff I don't know about on the wheel.

Ive done some enquiries but disheartened because the prices seem to have crept up to £50/ wheel and thats the few places ive rang so far.

fifty quid a wheel is very reasonable if they reconstruct the wheel and not just repaint it pretty. Think of the work you want, if you want your original wheels made new, fifty quid per wheel is the going rate. I got my four 16" done for 200 and they are as new as they came out the factory.
