michael22 Â Â 10 #64 Posted November 22, 2007 Hi I used to go there between 70 -75. Good crowd all barking mad. Got caught by Mr turton smoking behind bottom pavillion with andrew gillott ( spready ) , escorted to mr houdemont? and recieved cane and then put back in class and asked to write why we were punished !! couldn't hold bloody pen .. once tried to be clever and throw a plastic set squre in a room but hit some poor bugger in face , but as usual no one snitched on me when teacher was going mad ( all heroes ) while I was ther a Mrs ashberry ? took us for something she was nice ( very nice !) and mr savage with those bloody earphones learning french.. also there were gary mason, steve wragg , karen & susan the twins ,keith pheonix , plattsy , mick doors, lots of gorgeous girls in 5.1 ,5.2 etc and I think a maths teacher ended up with one of them ( lucky chuff ).and the rumours of a young biology teacher with a pupil ?what was that all about ?we did have a couple of re - unions which were excellent. and the annual pilgrimage across the fields to ashleigh school to face their lot at end of term. crazy but memorable. lennonman   11 #65 Posted November 23, 2007 Hi Michael22  you must have been in the year above me i left in 76, remember all the teachers you mention, forgot all about the french lab(!) with the headphones and mr Savage who lived up to his name a lot! We had a french student teacher for a short time and she was gorgeous, never paid more attention than that short period...i went to 2 of the reunions at the trades club bottom of city road, were you there for those? They were great and a good time was had, particularly as we wore name badges so you had a clue who people used to be when they had hair....ive forgotten about all the bad times at that school, only remember the good, it wasnt as bad as people made out was it? remember having loads of laughs
 Share this content via...
