Draggletail   58 #7 Posted October 16, 2007 Hehe, I just found this dialogue of BBC writers/producers brown nosing Derek Jacobi's naration "When we approached Derek Jacobi, I never thought he'd say yes. I just couldn't imagine him agreeing to say "mikka, makka, moo"," laughs creator Andrew Davenport. "But he did and it's great that children can hear his kind of voice. It gives the show such weight." Executive Producer, Anne Wood agrees: "I'd listened to Fathers And Sons on Radio 4 and just knew Derek would be perfect. He's got a very grandfatherly voice, which really suited what we were looking for and he's an amazing actor.  "I've never worked with anyone who is so brilliant with his voice. He doesn't make it twee and that's vital. We took him to lunch expecting to have to do a hard sell but we showed him about 30 seconds of rushes before he said yes. It's been so wonderful to have him as part of the show." http://www.bbc.co.uk/pressoffice/pressreleases/stories/2007/03_march/19/cbeebies_garden.shtml :gag:
 Share this content via...

surfinjim   10 #10 Posted October 20, 2007 Who lives next door to the Pontypines?  They've obviously got sky or a wii, cos you never see them out of the house!  I chortle every time I see IgglePiggle fall down at the end!  In our house, we all have to dance along when they are dancing on the merry go round, led by our 21 month old.   Is it just me, or does Igglepiggle resemble Tyrone from Coronation Street:suspect:  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tyrone_Dobbs  http://www.inthenightgarden.co.uk/en/visit-igglepiggle.asp   Jim  PS Just checked on Wikipedia.
