taxman   12 #1 Posted July 31, 2016 Another micropub, opened yesterday. Four cask ales plus a cider, 3 keg lines plus wine and snacks.  All hail new and interesting places to drink beer!
 Share this content via...

Guest sibon   #5 Posted July 31, 2016 Even as a Ranmoor student The South Seas was rarely somewhere I ever wanted to frequent.  I lived in Broomhill for 13 years and went in twice.  I'm no stranger to the inside of a pub, either
 Share this content via...
simonj   10 #6 Posted July 31, 2016 I grew up in that neck of the woods. My formative drinking years were spent at virtually every pub in Lodge Moor, Nethergreen, Ranmoor and Broomhill.  Except the South Seas
 Share this content via...
Guest makapaka   #7 Posted July 31, 2016 South seas has been rubbish for years.  I didn't go in but to be fair it seems the last incumbents tried to change the ethos but before that it was always grim.
 Share this content via...
Ousetunes   10 #8 Posted August 1, 2016 (edited) The Original South Sea pub was on the corner where Costa is. It was relocated when the arcade was built in the mid to late 60s. Perhaps they should have left it where it was. Like others, I've never taken to the South Sea, the only pub in Broomhill I will conveniently avoid. No bottles in as yet either.  https://www.facebook.com/theitchypig/ Edited August 1, 2016 by slh73 added facebook link
 Share this content via...
