Snooker147   11 #1 Posted December 1, 2017 Hi this black box pops up just off centre it literally flashes up for a split second no idea when it is going to appear so I dont get chance to look at it it just flashes up but I think I read at the top bar of it 'hardware' could be wrong  Ran a malware scan and antivirus and nothing came up my laptop is working as far as I know well I was just wondering should I be concernded about it does anyone know anything about it ?  Its a HP Envy 2016 windows 10 laptop not used any storage really Share this post Link to post Share on other sites Share this content via...
Ghozer   112 #2 Posted December 1, 2017 Could just be some driver or software update in the background, the "black box" could be a command prompt....  i'd have to see it to be 100% sure, but if scans show nothing, then I wouldn't worry about it... Ghozer   112 #4 Posted December 1, 2017 Ive been using it all day really and not seen only saw it when I booted it up I really want to take a print screen but its extremely fast lol also just looked on task manager and nothing seems unusual apart from 76 windows process's that say service host: bluetooth network , plug and play etc..  If you only saw it when you boot up, then don't worry about it, it's just something doing what it should and "starting" when you load windows...  mine pops up a couple of black boxes, but those are for my RGB lights I have in my PC, yours could be for anything (Audio for example)  if it's not effecting the use of the computer, and only when you boot up, it'll be normal and I wouldn't worry about it..
