carosio   186 #37 Posted August 14, 2015 I didnt miss the point, you said it would be tough to explain if you are driving miles and miles to an MOT station and that it would be down to the discretion of the officer. The rules are black and white on this - you can take it to any MOT station you want to, so what would there be to explain? If any officer says you cant drive it 200miles to your chosen MOT station then they are simply wrong.  A friend delved into this as he was moving 300m from North Notts. to Scotland in his motorhome (which needed an MOT), so he booked one at a garage near to his destination and had a successful trip.
