Motorbike Help - XJ750

Hi,

Firstly, sorry if this is in the wrong section. I could only find a classic car section.

Hoping someone can help. I am working on a Yamaha XJ750 that stopped running.

Its not sparking on plugs 1&4, but plugs 2&3 spark fine. My question is, is the ignition coil that run 1&4 the same type as 2&3?

The reason I ask, is that I plan to switch the coils round, so if 1&4 then spark and 2&3 dont then it means its a faulty igntion coil, am I right in thinking this?

Yes they should both be the same. On the old gsx750 they were the same.

I had the 750 SECA, they are the same if I remember correctly...
