David Brooks signs new deal

Recommended Posts

He is an academy success unfortunately for your braggadocio he was a product of Manchester Citys.

released by man city at 16 ! , progressed via our youth system, played for England youths via or academy, and now a member of the full Welsh squad at the age of 20 thanks to United. Its academy and great management.

Jags started his career at Everton, yet it was our academy that turned him in to a top player, who went on to play for England.

Maguire now an International for England..

No doubt you Owls will be making a part claim too for the success oF brooks!! as he played a game in S6 an ran riot ! perhaps the owls helped his status as a winner for sure. Then again you also have a cas for claiming the Owls are that poor ,they made all the Blades look a different class.:)

Brooks....played for Uniteds minor squads, progressed to first team and now international standard.

Academy produced FACT.

United only signed him in 2014 form Man City's academy NOT united academy produced no matter how you try to dress it up.

Man city let him go because they thought he was not good enough it is Shirecliffe that have made him what he is today.I do understand that in this point of time owls fans have to grab any straw for a bit of comfort .

Walker yes,Naughton,Maguire not done as well, who's Lowton?nags poor,so jog on cos I don't agree with you, early days for Brooks,he turned a very poor Hunt inside out who if you check my posts have never rated,we will see.

Do you mean Maguire the new England player .Poor old Hunt he must be having nightmares along with every other right back In this high quality Championship Brookes has turned inside out.Ipswich ended up with three players on him and he still waltzed passed them.Freed up Basham to wander up field to score winner.

It also makes us an attractive prospect for young talented players as they know they get the best development with us and if a premier league club offers a reasonable sum we won't stand in the way of their development.

It really does doesn't it?

Although over recent years in league one, we've not really been in a position to hold onto a lot of the talent we've produced or developed, as we continue to get better, the more benefit we'll get from having such an outstanding academy. And at present, it's providing great financial benefit to the club through well drawn up contracts when players do move on, Kyle Walker's recent move to City for example.

It makes us a very attractive prospect for future talent, any child would kill for an opportunity to join such a successful and proven academy, we'll have first refusal on all the best young players in the area.

Spot on mate and why should we stand in their way.We have to be realists in the fact we are in the championship only and if prem clubs offer a young guy mega bucks why keep him?He would only be a shadow of what he could be knowing what stage he should be operating on.You end up with a very unhappy player.Look at Maguire and where he has ended up ,playing for England who could deny him that?Shirecliffe must be attractive to the young guys families to with there record of producing top talent and allowing them to go as far as possible to the top of British football. There must be a lot of good talent in other clubs who do not get a chance to develop because of imported expensive players getting places in the side before homegrown kids.Perhaps the managers do not want to admit they have bought garbage and wasted money on buying duds and there for have to play their expensive flops before a talented young'un

At the moment, there's a sale on.

You can buy the whole Wednesday lot for £5m.

I know £5m is a lot of money, but the present lot are malfunctioning at the moment, so there's some bargains to be had.

Buyers ..... dip yer bread! :)

A few more plaques on seats and Chancer will be in with £15M for Brookes. :)

These things happen. But we are talking about theacademy and not the first team.

The academy's results are there for all to see.
