Sending older celebrities abroad for TV shows

Recommended Posts

Its a Joke this programme, the License payers are getting ripped off by sending Huniford and co off to Lanzerotten to present a show which could be presented here in the London studios, Martin Clunes some years ago presenting the Holiday show said " it's great this job, travelling the World on Lisence payers money" Huniford and co should have been sent to Cleethorpes, on saying that the Cleethorpians havn't done nowt to deserve that.:gag:

I remember Wish You Was here years ago with Judith Charmers and thought what a great job that must be. But i dont pay the TV tax so i cant comment on the BBC wasting money by sending people to far flung places around the world.

I thought exactly the same. Why are the three presenters in Lanzarote, when they could do exactly the same from a studio in the UK. Total waste of money. :loopy:

For exactly the same reason why news reporters commenting on a Employment Tribunal case must stand outside ACAS despite bugger all happening there at 10pm, Weather forecasters who stand outside in freezing weather with a blurred camera lens to emphasise the fact that its snowing or some consumer journalists who tell you about some company's complaints who insist on standing outside some shop doorway rather than the head office where something might actually be happening.

Its the world of television. Its what programmes are for. Like it or not. Its us viewers who expect to see things in context and need this level of emphasis to illustrate a topic being discussed.

YES, they could talk about a subject Just as effectively in a grey studio set in the middle of London, but us viewers may not find it so appealing to view and saleability of such programmes may not be as high.

 Plus that Simon bloke, who is a bit annoying, but gives out good info and could do a better job presenting the show on his own.

The BBC have so much money to get rid of to justify the licence and this is just one of the ways they do it.

When they talk about the Queen they send Nicholas (crawler) Wichell and a film crew to stand outside Buck house, why? We all know what it looks like.

A few years ago it was reported that the BBC sent more staff to a European football championship than any other nation, and none of the home nations had even qualified.

You only have to watch news and topical programmes to see the same family names cropping up to realise that the organisation is run on cronyism.

As for the above trio, we've got a theory that they're trying to corner the world mascara market.

is the program repeated in the evening ?

Don't think this one is.................. yet.

Although with the amount of repeats on BBC it most probably will be....... again and again !
