Schools open or closed

Does anyone know of anywhere i can get a list of schools that are shut apart from radio sheffield.

I am listening to that.

My son`s school is closed but my daughter is getting increasingly annoyed as her`s is not on the list.

Snowball fights soon I think.

According to GMTV, you have to check the schools web site.

Two that I know of are Tapton Secondary (Woo No work for me!) and Windmill Hill Primary in Chapeltown.

There is nothing on the Council/Education website yet (probably no-one at work yet!)

Stick with the radio and phone your school.

Listen to the news on Hallam FM, they recently gave a massive list of Sheffield and Rotherham schools that are closed.

There are 150 closed and only 2 in my area open and one is my daughters Mansel school.

Yewlands is closed.

There are regular updates of schools closed on BBC Radio Sheffield (full list) and Hallam FM (announcing as the schools phone in) Seems like most schools and colleges are closing and as there is another 5-10cm of snow forecast for today those that aren't soon will be!

My daughters headteacher is adament that all children must go to school.

100 yds away my son`s school is shut.

He`s nuts but I am more nuts for taking her.

We should all have snowball fights and fun we might not see it this deep ever again.

I've not listened to Hallam, but can I just say how I think Radio Sheffield are doing a fantastic service with the way they are constantly repeating and updating the schools lists this morning.

King Edwards is shut and Loxley College

(but loxley is shut anyway because of teachers strike LOL)
