Mick (Southey owl) wins Bronze Medal for Great Britain and N I.

Hello to all my friends,

Just called by to say i've made my debut for Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

It was the European Masters 10km Road Walk Race Championships

held in Alicante, Spain last Friday.

I was the first GB and NI walker to finish .....

.....and went on to claim the bronze medal as well!

It's 48 years since i last competed and raced walked in 1970.

To represent my country and win a medal after such a long time

is a dream come true!

I feel proud and honoured to have represented my country!

I flew out from L/B airport and spent five brilliant days in Alicante

close by the yachting marina at the Hotel Alamo!

Hope all my friends on the Local 6 League and elsewhere

are all keeping in good health.

So for now i'd like to say cherio ☺?☝??☺
